The agricultural sector is one of the worst performing sectors in the country at the moment. Recently Stats SA revealed that South Africa's economy shrank by 3.2% in the first three months of the year, citing the industry as one of the contributing factors. Some farmers struggle to up their stake in the market due to a lack of access to resources. These struggling farmers often don't get the much-needed assistance in funding and support programs.
