The Queen hosted a Garden Party in the grounds of Buckingham Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge accompanied The Queen at today’s Garden Party and met people from around the UK.
The Duke of York and The Earl and Countess of Wessex ,The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra also attended the event and chatted to guests in the sun shine.

Guests are able to take a look at the gardens and also enjoy tea, sandwiches and cakes as music is played.

Each year The Queen hosts afternoon tea parties to welcome around 30,000 guests in recognition of their service to the community.
