A New Way to Understand Your Baby's Crying

The Period of Purple Crying is a new program in the Muskegon area designed to educate new parents on certain behaviors during a newborn's 6 weeks to 3 month stage. The goal is to prevent injuries and deaths that occur due to Shaken Baby Syndrome and infant injuries during this time frame.

Injury Prevention Coordinator for Muskegon County, Holly Alway, reached out to the School of Nursing at Baker College Muskegon Campus to help get the program off the ground.
