Space Vlog: An Interesting Theory about Planet Wormwood

Space Vlog: An Interesting Theory about Planet Wormwood A few years ago I read an interesting article on the so-called Planet Wormwood. I can't remember the author but maybe I can find it again. We know that in ancient times Earth's atmosphere at times contained way more oxygen. Oxygen is fuel and many things grew much larger. That accounts for the fossils we've seen with insects as big as dogs and huge plants, although those images are much harder to find than a decade ago.
There's strong evidence to support the idea that there were mile-tall trees and even giants. My grandmother had encyclopedias called "The Book of Knowledge" from when she was a kid, and I read them all the time when I was at her house and I still have a few. Several of the books showed people excavating sites and finding huge human bones that would have put them at over twice the height of the tallest B-ball player. That was from a century ago and they were a bit more open about it than they are now.
The theory is that not only was the flora much bigger but it was much more vigorous and potent, and that includes the psychedelic plants. He speculated that the psychoactive plants could've been as much as 1,000 times more potent. If giants did exist and they happened to take psychedelic plants I guess they'd have to be way more potent to get a giant off. Most people would be quite surprised at how incredibly powerful some of the modern-day plants are, and even a threefold increase in potency would be much too much for most folks to handle. A thousand times more potent? Forget it.
He thinks Wormwood may be a huge chunk of the ancient and much larger Earth dislodged in an impact. It not only has an atmosphere, like we just found out the Moon does, but it also still contains the plants and animals and who knows what else that was living there at the time. For what it's worth it ties in to the Good Book where it mentions Wormwood contaminating the waters, and it also mentions people going mad.
If Wormwood were real and how he theorized and it entered the atmosphere or hit the ground and exploded, it could scatter that psychedelic soup all over the planet. For anyone drinking some Wormwood water it'd be "Adios, reality. Nice knowin' yas." It'd do the trick. These are not necessarily my opinions but it's pretty dang interesting, and no one can say with 100% certainty that's not the case. It would certainly fit the ancient narrative no matter what your personal beliefs are. Richard Pryor once said in his classic routine about the first time he took acid, "It'll have ya trippin'." If by chance the theory's true, then you can multiply Rich by a thousand. Crazy, huh?
