"The main ships in this series are planned to be assigned to the Navy in 2027," said the source.
According to the source, "the project plan for a ship with a displacement of 7,000 tons and the ability to carry up to 48 Kalibr, Oniks and Tsirkon cruise missiles will be completed by the end of this year."
"Overall, 12 of these class frigates are planned to be produced, with 11 of which will be assigned to customers within the framework of the new state arms procurement program," the source added.

The Russian Navy is currently in its service leading the Project warship 22350, Admiral Gorshkov, while Admiral Kasatonov underwent a sea trial and two frigates from this series are being built.
Admiral Kasatonov is the second fleet (which was produced in the first series) 22350 Project which was built at Severnaya Verf Shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation of Russia). The latest Frigate was placed on November 26, 2009 and floated on December 12, 2014. Frigates will be sent to the Russian Navy this year.
The series' main warship, Admiral Gorshkov, was sent to the Navy in the summer of 2018 and the construction of two frigates (Admiral Golovko and Admiral Isakov) continued on the way out of the Severnaya Verf Shipyard on St. Petersburg.
Fregat Project 22350 is expected to be the most sophisticated warship of the Russian Navy in their class. This frigate replaces 4,500 tons and can develop a speed of 29 knots. They are armed with Oniks and Kalibr missiles and Poliment-Redut air defense missile systems.
