Destiny 2: Titans in End Game Content (Aren't Great)

Titans, or as you may know them, the class that provides a damage debuff, are a bit lacking in the end game content department. Lackluster super-enhancing exotics and below average supers means Titans don't bring as much to the table nowadays. Do they need better exotics or are the super energy generating exotics that we have now simply too powerful for the game for anything else to be viable?
