We have one word to describe Akae Beka and Higher Bound Productions latest roots reggae album, "Hail the King" -- EXCELLENT! Overall, "Hail the King" is a profound album with lyrics that touch on multiple themes: class warfare; quest for power and dominance by the ruling class; repairing earth; togetherness; and, praise of Jah.
These philosophical lyrics, which can also be described as socio-religio-political commentary in poetic form, are accompanied by the live, organic sound of Midnite Band with input from other players of instruments.
This album might have some blemishes but to us at Irie Roots Reggae Reviews, these blemishes are not enough to not make "Hail the King" a perfect album.
